Martin Hiddink, born in 1965 in Winterswijk, Netherlands, lives in Italy.
He has been exhibiting since 1991 in galleries, museums, and foundations in Italy and abroad.
In 1994-95, he exhibited at the Witte de With in Rotterdam alongside Robert Zandvliet, and in 1995, he participated in Aperto at the GAM in Bologna.
The pretext of the object is the making of it, ceramic plates, heart of glass, the ancient oriental art, and in particular the art of China, succeds in expressing through porcelain the maximum of artistic expression. Each stoneware piece is the result of the harmonious fusion between complex elements: from the patient exploration of thr possibilities offered by local materials, to the perfection in sculpting the form, up to the tight relationship between decoration and volume…The artwork is no longer constructed but re-created. …
