Loretta Cappanera was born in Cividale del Friuli in 1956. Lives and works in Udine.
His exhibition activity began in the early 1990s with exhibitions that hark back to the great historical tradition of Italian painting.
Since 1993 he has explored the techniques of art graphics and artist’s books at the International School of Graphics in Venice; in 1995 she met Maria Lai who oriented her, between Venice and Ulassai, to thread and fabric to explore and create “new spaces” to be transformed into books. Always passionate about writing and the evolution of the ancient language of human beings, from 1998 to 2010,  she was present, with her own projects, at the annual Artist’s Book course . For the love of the sign that leaves a trace, for the love of the poetic word that delves into the human soul.  In 2013, she met the philosopher of science Eleonora Fiorani, since then extrapolating some parts of her beautiful texts, she imagined a ‘bridge’ dialogue, which unites Eleonora Fiorani’s profound reflections with her ‘making art’ with a subtle stitching. A new cycle of works, hand-woven canvases or everyday fabrics, treated with pigments or rust, thread marks that stratify gauze, silk or velvet to create visual narratives, ‘memories’ among the textures of time.
